Project description

The Climate Stability online network is a Web 3.0 online network (or facebook) which aims to deliver climate stability by providing a costless and immediate means to distribute information, facilitate collaboration, exchange content, manage workflow, deliver transparency amongst the community with a common interest in climate stability. The climate stability online network distributes information facilitates collaboration, shares knowledge and coordinates innovation to contribute to the stability of Earth’s climate. Content includes profiles, intellectual property, research, problems, solutions, implementation, blogs, priorities, policies (proposed, pending, current, redundant), announcements, articles, reports, audio, video, pictureses, processes and outcomes. Profiles are self-published by each scientist, government, corporation, philanthropist and other members of the community. All content is linked and rated for quality and quantity.
The Climate stability online network applies Web 3.0 online network principles. This includes semantic search, peer to peer networks, communities of common interest focused on a common purpose, comprehensive user generated content, workflow management, scalable open source web applications and cloud computing power from Amazon.
A Web 3.0 Climate Stability application is operational (see screenshot) on the Amazon cloud. It uses open source software from a variety of open source projects. This application could be customised for its climate stability objective and delivered in 12 weeks. We would use the www.MarcusCake.com systems to interact with the community, volunteers and partners. We can develop an internet marketing strategy to deliver traffic and participation and a community corporate governance structure.
How will this project improve the way news and information are delivered to geographic communities?
The network provides direct and immediate communication between scientists, corporations, philanthropists, government and other organisations globally. There is no restriction on the amount or type of information that can be delivered between participants. The critical path to climate stability can be identified. Tasks on this critical path can be assigned. Government can assign intellectual property into the public domain. Corporations can donate intellectual property. Community knowledge can be shared and duplication of effort eliminated.
How is this idea innovative? (new or different from what already exists)
To encourage innovation, government has established a system of intellectual property to encourage private corporations motivated by profit to invest. The open source software community has demonstrated that innovation and complex engineering projec can be completed by online communities without a profit motive. A solution to climate stability needs a global community empowered by community knowledge and focused on the outcome. A Web 3.0 network could define the problem, evaluate solutions, identify the critical path and implement the solutions using a global pool of community knowledge and talented individuals. Intellectual property systems and individual country approaches are less likely to develop a solution in the required timeframe.
What experience does MarcusCake.com have to successfully develop this project?
Marcus Cake is principal of Marcuscake.com and has 14 years experience as a venture capitalist, technology investment banker (mergers and acquisitions) and as a software entrepreneur.
The www.MarcusCake.com web is a means to share knowledge, provide forums for discussion and accelerate the transformation of financial markets toward Web 3.0 and economic development toward Web 4.0. Projects include a “How to build an online network in 90 days for USD25k” article to share knowledge with other entrepreneurs. Opportunities include an “Online network” open source software solution for other entrepeneurs.
Marcus’s primary project at Marcuscake.com is the launch of a public online industry network for the equity market . Marcus has spent many years developing a Web 3.0 online network for the financial market. This has involved extensive use of open source software to provide content management of the online network, but also support CRM, project management, accounting and collaboration applications.
A Web 3.0 Climate Stability application is operational (see screenshot) on the Amazon cloud. It could be customised for its climate stability objective and delivered in 12 weeks. We have an established development team and a designer. We would use the www.MarcusCake.com systems to interact with the community, volunteers and partners. Corporate governance of this network will be a critical issue. An advisory board member has extensive global political and internet industry relationships. We can develop an internet marketing strategy to deliver traffic and participation.
